Using DMSO Topically for Breast Tumors

I’m sharing something deeply personal that has become an important part of my healing journey—how I use DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) topically over my breast tumors. I’ve spent a lot of time researching this and want to offer my experience in case it helps someone else walking a similar path. This is not medical advice, just what I do and why.

Why DMSO?

DMSO is a compound with a fascinating history. Originally used as an industrial solvent, it’s also been studied for its medicinal uses, especially for inflammation and pain. What makes DMSO so unique—and powerful—is its ability to penetrate the skin and carry other substances directly into the bloodstream and cells. That’s also why you need to handle it with great care.

I came across a scientific paper published in Cancer Diagnosis & Prognosis (PMC9801450), which talked about how DMSO may induce cancer cells to differentiate, which means encouraging them to behave more like normal, non-cancerous cells. It also discussed how DMSO can shift immune cells in the tumor environment into a more aggressive, anti-cancer role.

That sparked my curiosity—and hope.

What’s in My DMSO Blend

I use a carefully mixed topical blend, always prepared in a clean glass container (never plastic, because DMSO absorbs toxins from plastic like a sponge) and use a stainless steal spoon (again, never plastic).

Here’s what I include:

  • DMSO (99.9% pharmaceutical grade) – Always stored in glass.
  • Fenbendazole (pure form only) – A veterinary antiparasitic that some integrative cancer communities are exploring for its possible anti-tumor effects.
  • Essential Oils:
    • Frankincense – Believed to support cell health and reduce inflammation.
    • Lemongrass – Contains citral, which has shown anticancer activity in lab studies.
    • Oregano Oil – Potent, with antimicrobial and possible anticancer properties.
  • Castor Oil (hexane-free) – Used as a carrier oil to dilute the mixture and support skin absorption.

I apply this mixture topically over the breast tumors, making sure my skin is freshly washed and free of any lotions, soaps, or residues.

That Garlic Taste (Even Though It’s Not in the Mix)

One of the most surprising things about using DMSO—even topically—is that within minutes, I get a strong garlic or oyster-like taste in my mouth. It’s completely normal and very common.

That taste is a result of DMSO entering the bloodstream and being metabolized. It’s one of those strange but fascinating signs that it’s doing its deep-penetrating work.

Important Safety Tips I Follow

Because of how easily DMSO carries substances into the body, I take the following precautions very seriously:

  • Only use DMSO on clean skin – No lotions, perfumes, or soaps beforehand.
  • Avoid anything with chemicals, cleaning products, reciepts, magazines, newspapers, or printed materials – The dyes and chemicals in ink can leach into your skin and be carried into your bloodstream if DMSO is on your hands. I’ve heard of people getting sick from unknowingly handling toxic materials after applying DMSO.
  • Never use plastic containers or spoons – Always glass or stainless steel.

This is a substance that deserves respect. It’s powerful—and that power can go both ways if not used wisely.

What I’ve Experienced

I’ve noticed improvements in how my tumors feel and behave. There’s less tenderness and more softness in the tissue. I feel more in control and connected to my healing. Of course, I also support my body in other ways—through clean eating, stress management, and detoxification.

This blend has become a sacred part of my daily routine. I believe that healing is personal, and we each need to find what resonates with our bodies.

My Final Thoughts

I share this because I know how overwhelming it can be to navigate options when facing a diagnosis like breast cancer. DMSO is not a cure, and I don’t claim that. But in my experience, it’s a powerful tool when used with intention, knowledge, and care.

If you’re curious about DMSO, I encourage you to read the science, talk to an integrative practitioner, and always listen to your intuition.

Feel free to reach out or share your own journey—I believe that storytelling and shared experience are part of how we heal.
